Imports lead the rise

On a net basis, customs-related GST revenue was up 56.2 per cent at Rs 58,319 crore; the domestic component was Rs 1.45 lakh crore, 16.4 per cent higher.
A Nation Press report attributed the domestic growth to festive spending around Navratri and Dussehra, and the import-related figure to increased trade activity. It also noted that part of the rise in import-linked revenue could reflect higher prices rather than larger volumes.
